Nancy Glenn Meyer Terry Salisbury, younger daughter of Lelah (Lee) & Bill Meyer (Moyer), 4th of 6 children, died March 3, 2025. She was born in Wisconsin on January 19, 1944.
Miss Nancy was raised in the Salt Lake City area and set goals to become a certified public-school teacher. As an adolescent, she attended South Davis Junior High School and graduated from Bountiful High School with great classmates. At Utah State University, she was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta; she graduated as a certified public High School Teacher in Social Science and History.
She loved and had great respect for her students, i.e.…David Vandygriff, was honored as a High School senior with a patriotic “Voice of Democracy” award. He followed Miss Nancy’s example of integrity, with love and devotion to the United States of America.
Nancy worked for James Denson Terry, a Doctor of Dental Surgery, in Lubbock Texas as the office manager, where she enjoyed numerous opportunities to build patient-clientele trust. She was a member of the Dental Auxiliary; during that time, she gave dental hygiene instruction in public elementary schools and participated in dental health month. After nine years of faithful service, the office doubled in size.
Nancy was also employed later by Attorney Leo Kissner in the office of Senator Jack Ogg.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints First Presidency called for Nancy’s service in the following three full-time missions: a proselytizing mission, a member location mission and a family history mission, which she honorable fulfilled. Her first mission was called for the Dixie Downs Ward in St. George, Utah.
Tender mercies of the Lord allowed Nancy to be the primary care giver of her mother, Lee, who was challenged with a diagnosis of colon cancer that caused her death.
Nancy was blessed by her marriage to Royal “Bud” Salisbury, Jr., who, in time, battled with health issues and predeceased her. Unfortunately, J. Salisbury Finn, the wife of Michael Finn also predeceased her stepmother.
Nancy is survived by her younger brother, Richard Meyer, his wife Paula, his sisters-in-law Jeanie and Joan Meyer, and numerous nieces and nephews throughout the country.
Funeral service will be held on March 14, 2025 at 12:00 PM at The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 760 North 1200 East Salt Lake City, Utah, 84116. With a Viewing one hour prior.
Interment will be held at Farmington Utah Cemetery (200 E. 552 S. in Farmington, Utah). Bishop Stephen Shaffer with Holy Priesthood of God will dedicate the Grave.
