Nancy Kohles

October 30, 1957 — June 6, 2021

Nancy Ann “Nan” Kohles passed away in her home on June 6, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. She was born October 30, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alvin Robert and JoAnn Higham Kohles. As you can imagine, Halloween was her favorite holiday, and she went all-out with decorations, costumes, and treats. We will all remember her most at this time of year.
Nan was a gifted seamstress and avid ceramics painter. Her happiest moments were spent crafting, sewing, creating incredibly detailed ceramics, or spending time with her cherished grandchildren. She also loved gardening when her health allowed. Nan is survived by her three children, Lacy (Jon) Bentley, Martin (Christina) Gerber, and Ambur (Eric) Jones, 11 grandchildren and two brothers, Rich and Jack. Her sweetheart of 8 years, Eric, has been by her side, tirelessly, through her recent health challenges. We are all deeply grateful for his love and care, even up to her last few moments on Earth.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and her oldest brother, Michael. Graveside services will be held privately at the Bountiful Lakeview Memorial cemetery next week. An informal Celebration of Life gathering will be held July 1st 2-4 PM at the Bountiful City Park (400 North 200 West, Bountiful, UT 84010). Look for red balloons. Feel free to bring blankets and chairs, even your own dinner to eat together and visit with others who knew and loved Nan.
In lieu of flowers, please make a food or monetary donation to your local food bank or homeless shelter on Nan’s behalf.
