Heaven gained another Angel today. Nancy Joan Haglund lost her valiant 3 year battle with cancer, surrounded by her family at home, just where she wanted to be.
Born November 23, 1941 in Salt Lake City to Jack & Luella Wakefield she was one of 7 children.
Joan loved her family and loved spending time with them whenever she could. She loved camping, travelling and spending time in Mesquite. She enjoyed gardening in her lovely yard making it a peaceful place to be and was very proud of how nice it looked.
Survived by her three beautiful children, Patrick (Carolyn) Haglund, Pat Haglund & Natalie Jones. 13 Grandchildren and 28 Great grandchildren. Brother Larry (Carolyn) Wakefield, Sisters; Susan Kooyman and Jackie (Amos) Kaighn, Sister in-law Sharon Wakefield and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband Max Haglund, Parents, Jack & Luella Wakefield, brothers Mike & Ronnie Wakefield, Sister Connie Thompson and longtime companion Jim Lacey.
A special thanks to the staff of Huntsman at Home, CNS Hospice and the caring neighbors and family members who helped us care for her in her last few weeks here on earth. We will miss you Mom!
A viewing will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at noon followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, 84123. Interment to follow funeral services at the same location.
