Nancy Carol Bean Bouck

Nancy Carol Bean Bouck, of Holladay, passed away on March 14, 2016. She was born May 31, 1938, in Hailey, Idaho, to Benjamin Bryan Bean and Florence Echo Willes Bean. As a child of teacher parents, her family lived in various communities in Utah and Nevada. Nancy graduated from East High School in 1956. She attended Brigham Young University and graduated from the University of Utah with a BFA degree in commercial art. She was married to Ronald L. Bouck on July 14, 1961 by Richard L. Evans in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She worked as a commercial artist in Salt Lake, Denver and the San Francisco Bay area. Later, she was employed by Intermountain Health Care Home Health and Hospice in medical records and retired after 20 years of service. Nancy was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many ward and stake positions. She and her husband Ron served together for a service mission at the Wasatch Youth Correctional Facility Branch as volunteers working with youth and children at the Christmas Box House. She enjoyed walking, reading and visiting historic sites. She unselfishly helped others. Devotion to family was paramount in her life.
Preceded in death by her parents and a half-brother, Bob Bean. She is survived by her husband, Ron, her daughter, Carrie (Corey) Cox, son Steven; four grandchildren: Mallory (Jeremiah) Wayman, Lauren, Jordan, Sydney, and two great grandchildren Mason and Gavin. Also survived by sister Bonnie (Fred) Farr, brother Ben (Laurel) Bean, and extended family.
A viewing will be held Friday, March 18 from 6-8 p.m. at Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Drive. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 19 at 12 Noon at the Big Cottonwood 16th Ward, 1750 East Spring Lane, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 S Memory Lane (1990 East). Memories may be shared at www.memorialutah.com
