Myrna-Jo Farley, 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 9, 2015 in Sandy, Utah. She was born on December 30, 1929, in Morgan, Utah to Kenneth and Lena Butters. She graduated from East High School. Married D. Kent Lott in 1950 and later divorced. Myrna-Jo married her soul mate William Robert Farley on May 10, 1962, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Myrna-Jo loved animals, gardening, needle point, knitting, spending time with her family and traveling with her husband.
She is survived by her children Jamie (Karen) Lott of Sandy, Diana (Jerry) Checketts of Ogden, Pamela (Robert) Finder of Eden, Gail (Scott) Boyd of Centerville, daughter-in-law Susie Farley of Layton, brother Robert Butters, brother-in-law Clark Farley, 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband William Robert Farley Sr., daughter Melinda Baumgartner, son William Robert Farley Jr. brother Neil Butters, sister Charlene Pendleton, grandson Todd Farley, and her beloved German Shepard Barron.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 E. 7800 S. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Best Friends of Utah.
