Myrna Lou (Taylor) Banks passed away from Alzheimer’s Disease at age 85 on May 12, 2019, in her home in Thousand Oaks, California. Myrna was born on June 23, 1933, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Enoch and Myrna Taylor. She was the second of nine children. She moved to Ventura County, California in 1974 with her family. She was an accountant for over 20 years at Proctor & Gamble Paper Products until retiring in 1998.
Myrna is survived by her son, Mike (Tamara); daughter, Michelle (John); and grandson, Jason; three sisters, Marilyn, Joyce & Linda; and two brothers, Don and Glen. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Helen & LuAnne, brother Melvin.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and during retirement, volunteered for many years at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.
Services will be held Friday, May 31, 2019 at 2:00pm where friends and family can pay their respects. A private family viewing will be held from 1:30-2:00pm prior to the services. Services will be held at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah, 84123.
