Motoi Asiata Fauatea passed away on May 11, 2024 in Kearns, Utah. He was born on February 25, 1924 in Tuanai, Samoa to Pau Taituave Fauatea and Palepo Paitomaleifi.
Motoi married Siolosega Faumuina.
Motoi enjoyed fishing, farming, and camping.
Dad lived a long life of service to his family and church. He was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings in his ward and stake. He was loved by many and father to more than just his children. He was truly an example of what true love should be.
Motoi is survived by his three sisters Tuitua Fauatea, Lokelika Te’o, Lauama Fagatele; daughters Palepo Aukusitino (Mao), Vesi Tafeamalii (Sonoma), Maria Wong (Wayne), Siolosega Vanderhorf, Adele Davidson (Jason); sons Manu (Leila), Whitney (Pele), Sefuluai (Moana), Tino (Gina), Tumama (Jane), Iose (Maureen), Motoi Jr (Filoi).
He is preceded in death by his wife Siolosega Paitomaleifi Fauatea; sons Mataitai Fauatea, Pupi Faaili; sister Lusi Fauatea; and his parents.
A Viewing and Family Service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4715 South 4300 West, Kearns, Utah. A Bishop’s Service will follow at 12:00 PM.
Interment following services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
