Monica Lee Victor Bunderson Ashton

Monica Lee Victor Bunderson Ashton, age 77, passed away on March 18th, 2025 in Holladay, Utah. Monica was born on July 12th, 1947 in San Diego, California, and was adopted at five days old by Edward Victor Bunderson Sr. and Grace Larsen. Monica married Terry Ashton, and was later divorced.

Monica attended Snow College and belonged to the Church of Latter-Day Saints. She had very strong testimony of Christ. Monica had many hobbies and greatly enjoyed music. She played the harmonica really well and was even in a band. Monica absolutely loved Star Wars and had lots of memorabilia to prove it. She made friends very easily, due to her kind and forgiving nature, but you could say her best friend, and the love of her life, was her dog Bandit.

Monica is survived by her dog Bandit, her sons, Tony and Dale Ashton, her brother Layne Slack, and her sisters Diana Hansen and Debbie Ricord.

She is preceded in death by her father Ed and her mother Grace, her step-father Glen J. Slack, and her ex-husband Terry Ashton.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 31st at the Hunter Ward located on 6755 West 3800 South, West Valley City, Utah 84128

Interment will be held on Monday, April 14th at the Memorial Redwood Cemetery located on 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
