On April 20, 2019 Mirta returned to her home in heaven. Mirta Martinez passed away from natural causes in her sleep at her home.
Mirta was born March 16, 1956 in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Julio and Josefina “Pina” Martinez. She was raised in Buenos Aires and graduated from E.N.C.M as an Accounting Technician in 1973. In 1983-1985 she served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Cordoba, Argentina. In 1991 she decided to move to Salt Lake City, Utah. She started working at Becden Dental Lab. While working for Becden she attended UCLA to get certified for CAPTECH. She worked at Becden for 20 years. She then retired from Edwards in 2018.
Her pride and joy in her life were her nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephew. She loved them so much and was proud of each one of them. She was the best sister, Tia, Nona and friend to many.
She loved taking care of her nieces and nephews and watching them grow. She enjoyed watching movies and making people laugh.
Mirta is survived by her mother Josefina Caputi de Martinez. Her brothers, Daniel, Alejandro Martinez (Carolina). Her sisters, Liliana Balboa (Ricardo) and Virginia Anderson. Her nieces, Valeria, Cambry (William) and Karen. Her nephews, Nicolas, Pablo, Emilano (Victoria), Adam, Sebastian, Lucas, Mateo and Pedro. Great niece/nephew, Madalin and Lukas.
Mirta is preceded in death by her father Julio Martinez.

Services will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East Bengal Blvd. (7800 South) Cottonwood Heights, Utah, 84121. A viewing will be held from 3:30 – 5:00 PM prior to the services. Before Mirta’s passing she asked our family that those attending her funeral DO NOT wear black.Service Information
