Miriam Margretha Iversen, 92, passed away on December 21, 2016, in Sandy, Utah surrounded by her family. She was born on April 14, 1924, in Oppegard, Norway to Gustav and Anna Ljungberg. She married Ragnar Leif Iversen on March 20, 1948, in Oslo, Norway.
Miriam was our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed knitting and knitted many sweaters for her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and whenever you visited her you never left hungry. She immigrated to the United States with her husband, leaving their families to start a new life.
She is survived by her 7 children, Anne (Dale) Bailey, Bianka Candelaria, Linda McDougald, Roy (Cheryl) Iversen, Susen (Jim) Hall, Kathy (David) Seiler and Kevin (Erica) Iversen; 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 ½ great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Rolf, sister-in-law Ellen, grandson David and son-in-law Robert.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery, 3115 E. Bengal Blvd. (7800 S.) A visitation will be held from 1 -2 pm prior to the services. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.memorialutah.com
