Mimita Tautaiolefue

January 26, 1927 — February 9, 2019

Mimita Tautaiolefue was born on Jan. 26th, 1927 in Saleaula, Savaii, Western Samoa, to Mimita and Mavava Tautaiolefue. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Feb. 9th, 2019. He was married to the love of his life Lemoe Avei on May 26, 1952. Together they had 12 beautiful children, 42 grandchildren, and 39 great-grandchildren.
Mimita loved playing pool, riding his bicycle, and thrift shopping at his favorite store Savers. He had the best sense of humor and had a gift for making those around him smile.
Mimita is survived by his children; Fua (Ioelu-deceased), Mitiana (Pao), Faaiuga, Palemia (Lani), Vaioletti, Faatea (Palepo), Lesina, Faapoi (Polu.)
Preceded in death by his parents; Mimita and Mavava Tautaiolefue, his wife Lemoe, and 4 of his children; Misilei (son), Mitihana (daughter), Mafutaga (son), and Apollo (daughter.)
Funeral Services for Mimita will be held February 16, 2019 at the Volta Samoan LDS Chapel, located at 4251 South 4800 West, West Valley City UT 84120. The Family Service will be held at 10:00am followed by the Bishop’s Service at 1:00pm. Burial to follow at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery at 6500 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville UT 84123.
Our family would like to express our gratitude to all those who have offered their condolences and love during this difficult time and we love you all.
You will forever be remembered in our hearts.
