Milton Fred Jenkins, 79 passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born March 20, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Frederick Hardcastle and Vera Rowena Ostler Jenkins. Milton married Betty LaVon Baron on October 3, 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Milton was in the Air National Guard Reserves. He retired from Northrop, Grumman in 2002. He was a member of the LDS Church and held many callings. Served for 13 years in the Jordan River Temple. He loved scouting and helped many young men, sons and grandsons to work towards their Eagles. He received the Silver Beaver Award. He was an avid fly-tyer; participated in many fly-tying expos, contracted with many sporting companies and anyone who wanted to talk about his flys would go home with a dozen. He loved to travel often to Disneyland. And anyone who knew him knew he was “a little shorthanded”.
Milton is survived by his wife Betty; children Kelli (Dave) Peterson, Natalie (Tracy) Wilder, Chad (Ann), Matt (Elisa), 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and sister Rowena Beratto.
He is preceded by his parents, sisters Grace Jenkins and Tabetha Hansen, brothers In-law Leonard Beratto and Don Hansen.
Many thanks to Spring Creek Care Center, Legacy Health Care and Hospice. To our angels who helped care for him in his final days. Thank you Colleen for your gift and Dailyn for your kindness. We will always remember you.
