Mike J. Brunt

Mike J. Brunt, age 58, peacefully passed away enveloped in the support of family and friends on August 21, 2018 at 10:38 p.m. He was born on April 30, 1960, in Moto’otua Government Hospital to Tauvao John and Tausaga (Ulu Kini) Brunt as one of 11 children. He later on married the love of his life Alisi (Aloi) Brunt on August 25, 1984 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mike was a self-educated businessman who had an insatiable appetite for learning. Subsequent of an inquisitive mind he accumulated knowledge, skills and talents that led him to be well versed in many aspects of life. He enjoyed reading, playing his guitar, singing, and above all else, dedicating his life to faithfully serving his family, his community and especially in many capacities of his church, The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The convivial nature of his personality made him an absolute joy to be around. His genuine love for all people transformed what most would deem an inconvenience or sacrifice, into what he perceived to be a humbling opportunity and a blessing.
He is survived by his beloved wife, 4 children and their spouses, Maryann and Justin of Taylorsville, John and Tiffany of West Valley, Frank and Iva of West Jordan, Ben and Shay of Taylorsville; 14 grandchildren; Mother of New Zealand; 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 31, 2018, 9am, at the Sauniatu LDS Ward Chapel, 4950 S. 1950 W., Taylorsville, UT, with an hour prior viewing. Interment to follow services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT.
