Michael L. Hansen

Michael L. Hansen passed away peacefully on the morning of August 26th. He was born in Magna, Utah on June 28, 1946 to LaVor and Dorothy Hansen.
Michael served a mission in Texas for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Michael graduated from the University of Utah in 1973 in accounting.
Michael married Vickie Lee Gledhill on September 19, 1968 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Mike and Vickie went on to foster many children, and ultimately Mindy their first daughter was born on May 24, 1973. They also adopted three more girls.
Michael was an avid collector of many things.
Mike and Vickie loved to camp with family and friends and loved to travel. They were able to travel to every continent except Australia.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, brother Dale, brother Paul and sister Arlene.
Michael is survived by his wife Vickie Gledhill Hansen, sister Maxine Hansen Herrera, daughters Mindy Hansen Tanner, Jennifer Hansen Mellen, Elizabeth Hansen, Stephanie Hansen Gonzalez (Jose). Grandchildren Shelby Tanner, Nathan Tanner, Michael Mellen, Caden Gonzalez, Alex Gonzalez and Alicia Gonzalez.
Services will be held on August 31, 2021 at the Cottonwood Heights 5th Ward 7075 South 2245 East Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121. Viewing will be held from 11am-12pm. Funeral services will follow. Burial will be held at 2pm following funeral services at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery 3115 East 7800 South Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
Flowers may be delivered to Memorial Murray Mortuary 5850 South 900 East Murray, Utah 84121 before 9am August 31, 2021.
