Michael Karl Tenney was born May 31, 1966, in Ogden, Utah, and passed away on May 25, 2022, at the age of 55 after a brave battle with ALS. He was the loving son of Karl Wilson Tenney and Lyle Ann (Hunt) Tenney.
Growing up he loved to play football and played on the Cottonwood High School football team. He loved spending time with his family at their cabin in Scofield, Utah where he rode motorcycles, fished, and occasionally hunted with his dad.
Mike always led an adventurous life. After high school, he trained and worked as a professional scuba diver for a few years. He had some great stories about working as a diver on oil rigs off the Louisianna coast. For most of his life, he worked in construction as a foreman. Mike was always given the toughest jobs because he knew how to get things done the right way and on time.
Mike loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveled thousands of miles with his motorcycle club. He also loved to collect Harley Davidson T-shirts from all over the country. He was known to have a mischievous twinkle in his eyes when he smiled or was really excited or happy about something.
Mike loved to learn and was always ready to try something new. He loved to talk and share his vast knowledge about nearly every subject. He was the one to talk to before making a big purchase or starting a project. He was one of the most generous, loving people and was willing to help anyone, especially those he loved (even spending a whole day picking up and helping put together a swing set for his niece and nephew).
He is survived by his mother, Lyle Ann (Hunt) Tenney, sister Suzanne Tenney Neddo (Matthew), and his loving fiance Amanda Wixom. He is preceded in death by his father, Karl Wilson Tenney. He will be greatly missed as well as his sharp wit, vast knowledge, and joy for life.
