Michael Christensen

Michael Don Christensen, son of Don Eugene Christensen and Inez Bracken Christensen, born September 16, 1940, Cedar City, Utah, Iron County Hospital.  Resided in Cottonwood, Arizona for the past years, where he passed away on April 28, 2016.  Enlisted on the National Guard in 1959 and received certification in Electronics, in Carmel, California.  Married Bonnie Jean West in 1960, where two sons were born, Kendall Eugene and Michael Todd.  Married Meredith Nelson 1968 where another son, Steven Michael was born and Meredith s son Stanton Scott VanWagoner was added to their family.  Worked with the Salt Lake County Fire Department  1974, received his EMT Certification and retired on 1992.  His culinary talents will be remembered by his fellow firefighters who enjoyed many excellent meals at the station.  He liked to spend summers at Soldier Creek Reservoir fishing and having his family come for visits.  After retirement, he became a “snow-bird” and moved to Arizona living in his fifth wheel in a retirement community. He wasn’t idle for long as he became a security guard.  He loved his family very much and will be missed by them all.  Survived by sons, Kendall (Shauna), Steve (Amy), brother, Reginald (Susan), sister, Terri (Stan), 19 Grandchildren and 13 Great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
