Merretta “Meg” Inez Ortega

Merretta “Meg” Inez Ortega, age 78, died March 1, 2020 from causes of Parkinson’s Disease and heart failure. She was born on December 29, 1941 in Los Angeles, California to John Reid and Irma Dora Gilson.
She moved to Lehi, Utah and married Dale J. Webb and had three children; Barbara, Robert, and Bart. She was active in the LDS Church and also did temple work and went on a mission. She went to school and became a licensed nurse for many years. She later met Edward Nachio Ortega and were married October 10, 1991 and lived a happy life in West Jordan.
She enjoyed taking drives up the canyons, fishing, and visiting national parks with her children and grandchildren.
Merretta is survived by her children Barbara (Wyatt) Winters, Robert Webb, and Bart (Tiffany) Webb; sister in law Rose ALires; grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward; parents; sister Nadine and brother Richard.
A viewing will take place Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 12:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM, all at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, 84123.
