Meriam Peterson Beard

Meriam Peterson Beard passed away peacefully at her home in Midvale, Utah on December 31, 2017. She leaves behind three children Brenda Buhler, Brian B. Beard and Brett Beard. She was loved by four grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. She was the devoted sister to Barbara Osborne, Rex Peterson and Boos Peterson.
Meriam was born in Moroni, Utah on July 22, 1931. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Utah in 1952 and was married to Aaron Bernarr Beard in June of that year. Bernarr predeceased her in 1978.
Meriam taught elementary school in the Jordan School District for 35 years and tutored many children after retiring. Noted for her sweet spirit and kind words she will be missed by many.
There will be a viewing Thursday evening January 4 from 6-8 and a service at 11 AM Friday January 5, 2018. Both services to be held at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
