Melvin B Levi, passed away on August 5, 2024 in Kearns, Utah. He was born on June 6, 1948 in San Juan Farmington, New Mexico. He was married to Carolina Levi on June 25, 2007.
He loved to travel, read books and magazines, and watch TV, especially western movies. He graduated from High Technician Electronic Institute with diploma in Computer Electronics, Phoenix, Arizona.
He is an Alumni of Class 22-70 Basic Electronics at MCRD, San Diego California. He received and finished his karate discipline in December, 1970 at Shodukan Headquarters, Federation of Ryukyu-Kobudo, Okinawa, Japan.
He is a member of the Marine Corps Reserves and served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1973. He also recieved a National Defense Service - RIfle Expert and Good Conduct Medal. He retired from the military and worked as communications tech for FAA for 26 years.
He is survied by his loving wife, Carolina Levi, his daughter, Kirby Levi, his grandkids, Miranda Levi, Angelia Bennett, Lanette Bennett, Rayburn Bennett Jr, Andrew Bennett, Shayla Shay and Mesiah Shay. He is also survived by his great grandkids, Natalie Levi, Zavien Sanchez and Aneesa Sanchez, and lastly, his sisters Genevieve, Jennifer and Cherly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Bessie Levi, brothers, Leroy Bayleni, Leonard, Lee Joe and Erick Warren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM over at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery, located on 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Prior to his service, a viewing will take place from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM. His Interment will follow the funeral service, beginning at 1:00 PM over at the Veteran's Cemetery located on 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
