Melva Jean Martin Clawson, Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Friend passed away at 2:14 p.m., November 20, 2014 of natural causes.
She was born to Calvin C. & Nellie B. Martin in Montgomery, Alabama on September 21, 1945. She moved to Utah in 1971 where she started her family. She loved the Holidays and decorated for any she could. She especially loved Christmas and now she can celebrate it with the One it was meant for; our Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in Sunday School, Primary and Relief Society. She was currently a volunteer missionary for the offices of the LDS Employment Resources.
She leaves behind husband, Hugh; daughter, Monica Sullivan and her husband Michael Sullivan; son, Michael and his wife Julianne; 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Hannah, Nichole and Matthew Sullivan and sister, Donna Ivie. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Anna Elizabeth.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Valley View Ward, 5927 South Park Wood Drive (5030 W) at 11:00 a.m. with viewings Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Drive from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church.
