Melody Rae Macklin, age 54, passed away December 20, 2015 peacefully in her Murray home. She was born on June 1, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Elvin Perry and Mildred Sophia Bush Smith. She married Rick Macklin on June 22, 1984.
Melody loved her family very much and always loved to spend her time with them.
She is survived by her husband, Rick, 3 children Kimberly (Mike), Michelle (Neil), Brian (Sharon), 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren; her sister Debbie (Brett), and her brother David (Mary).
Melody is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and great-granddaughter Brynlee Parrish.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her wonderful hospice nurses, Chaplain Kory, and everyone that helped care for mom.
Funeral services will be held on December 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at the LDS Ward Building located at 5235 South Wesley Road, Murray, Utah 84117. There will be a viewing held Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00 pm at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, UT. There will also be a viewing held at the church prior to the services from 10:00-10:45 am.
