Melba Ross

Melba Marie Leonard Ross Shaw, Age 95, died June 23, 2017, at home. Born March 12, 1922, Price, Utah to Irving and Eunice Leonard. Married Gene W. Ross May 3, 1941 (39 yrs), then Richard Shaw January, 1992 (14 yrs).
She enjoyed spending time with family, seeing grandchildren, great grandchildren and traveling. Worked as a cook in a nursing home. At 63 started to paint until 93. She was kind hearted, generous and a good sense of humor.
Melba is survived by her four children Boyd (Maureen) Ross, Richard Ross, Bill (Sherrie) Ross, and Karleen (Bill – deceased) Erickson, sisters June Bell, Monty Basso, Bonnie Murray and 18 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by Gene W. Ross, Richard Shaw, two sisters, brother, parents, and son-in-law.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017. Viewing 10:00 to 11:30 am, funeral services at 11:30 am at the Crescent 16th Ward, 275 East 10600 South, Sandy, UT 84070.
Interment will be at: Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT.
