Max Stager

Max Stager, age 94, passed away on February 2, 2021, in South Jordan. He was born on August 7, 1926, in Matten Switzerland by Interlaken to Louise Stager.
He married Ruth Stager on May 27, 1952, later sealed in the LDS temple.
Max spent four years training to be a pastry chef throughout Europe. They immigrated to the United States in 1953. Max retired after 30 years from United Airlines as well as Hotel Utah and Bakers De Normandy. Max spent his life dedicated to his family and church service. He loved fishing, camping, and hunting.
We will miss his great stories and sense of humor.
He is survived by Ruth, children; Sonja Perciwall, Ronald (Pam), Maxine, Heidi (Bob) Pierson, John, 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by mother Louise, grandmother Louise, uncle Hanz, grandson Anthony, and sister Louise.
A viewing will be held on Monday, February 8 from 12:00pm-2:00pm with a funeral service at 2:00pm at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary. Interment will be at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery.Masks and social distancing are required.
