Maurine B Griggs

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Maurine B. Griggs passed away on January 6, 2019 at the age of 85 due to cancer. Maurine was born April 26, 1933 to Jesse and Clarice Bingham.
She graduated from Jordan High School and Salt Lake Community College with an accounting degree.
Married Ronald Smith, they divorced. Married Charles Griggs they later divorced. Maurine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was grateful for her temple blessings.
She was very involved in her community at Cedarwood and was given an Ambassador role to welcome all the new residents. She enjoyed the daily activities and made many friends that loved and adored her. We will miss her dearly.
Survived by her sisters Barbara Nell and Donna Diamond. Children Judy (Bruce) Drechsel; Alicia (Mike) Zullo; Teresa (Ron) Benson, 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and her son Chuck Griggs and daughter Kaylene Griggs.
Family wishes to thank her many friends and caregivers at Cedarwood Assisted Living Center. Our great appreciation and gratitude to Char, Chris, Ollie and McKenzie from Encompass for her hospice care.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM with a viewing starting at 1:00 PM at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary (3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, UT).
