Maurice J. Wilkinson was born September 16, 1931 to Franklin W. Wilkinson and Adella Meacham in Salt Lake City, UT. He died peacefully March 21, 2021 at the age of 89 in Salt Lake City surrounded by his family. Married Bonnie Rose Pollei in the Salt Lake Temple on October 12, 1951.
Maurice graduated from the University of Utah with a Master’s Degree in Education. He worked for Granite School District for 33 years as a Teacher, Principal and District Director. Retired in 1991 From Granite District and the US Army with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel after serving 41 years.
His greatest joy was his wife Bonnie, his children and grandchildren.
He enjoyed traveling with Bonnie, time with his family, and hiking with his friend Joe and their dogs.
Survived by his son Kent and daughter Susan (Thomas) LeBreton. Granddaughters: Brianna LeBreton, Anastasia (Daniel) Puha, Caitlin Stearns; Sisters-in-Law Marianne Raymond and Carol Pollei; Brother-in-Law Richard Pollei; many Nieces and Nephews.Preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie, Parents Franklin and Della, Granddaughter Ashwani LeBreton, Brothers: Cal, Tom and Gary Wilkinson; Brothers-in-Law Ralf (Thelma) Pollei, Jon Pollei, Stephen Raymond.
A viewing will be held April 5, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Memorial Holladay~Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, Holladay, Utah.
Interment will be at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah, where a Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 1:00 pm.
