Maureen Daniels

Maureen Daniels passed away Nov. 5th at home with her loving husband by her side and with her family nearby. Maureen was born the 28th of March 1943 in Edmonton, London, England to Albert Victor Wakenell and Rosanna Murray. She was the oldest of three children. In Maureen’s life time she went to work for Norman Hartwell in London as a seamstress. She proved to be an exceptional seamstress as she had made her bridesmaid’s dresses. She also worked in a number of accounting offices and eventually became a nanny in New York. Maureen met her husband of 47 years on New Years Eve in 1968 and they were married the following September. Maureen had served a number of years with the Catholic Women at St. Olaf’s and the Salt Lake Diocese. She was also past president of the Union Pacific Junior Old Timers Club. She enjoyed going to Tuacahn to watch the shows and go camping. Maureen is survived by her husband Dennis, and children Troy Edward (Lisa) – kids Jacob and Jason, Malanda Miller (Jon Miller), Dennis Albert (Lindsey), Christine, Amber, Justin, Brayden, Raymond Alexander (Rachel), Liam, Pauline (North Walsham, England) and her husband Colin Young. Preceded in death by her mother, father and her brother, Albert. There will be a viewing on Thursday, November 12th from 6-8PM at the Woods Cross 6th Ward (790 W. 1500 S. in Woods Cross) with a funeral service on Friday November 13th at 11AM at St. Olaf Catholic Church (276 E. 1700 S. in Bountiful). After the burial at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, there will be a Celebration of Life at the Woods Cross 6th Ward.
