Matthew Stephen Cruz

Mathew passed away on March 28, 2018 in Salt Lake City. He was born on August 20, 1956 to Betty and Martin Cruz in Casper, Wyoming. Matthew moved to Salt Lake City at a young age and attended South High School. He attended college to become a mechanic. He met JoAnn and she had a son, David. Together they had a daughter, Sunshine.
He worked for Lefavor Envelope as a Supervisor. He went on to own his own aluminum siding business; Cruz Aluminum. Matthew moved to California and worked for two envelope companies. He then moved back to Salt Lake to help his father.
Matthew was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest brother, Martin.
He is survived by his twin brother, Mark, children: Sunshine and David, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 2 nieces and 2 nephews. He also loved his dog and special companion Kenny.
Special thanks to Joyce as she was a blessing to all of us especially to Matthew.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah.
