Our beautiful son, brother, husband, father and grandfather passed away August 3, 2016, at IHC, Murray, UT. with his family by his side.
Born Oct. 21, 1965 to Larry W. and Karen P. (Cussins) Bales in San Leandro, CA. A California native Matt moved with his family in 1975 to Sandy, Utah where he attended Peruvian Elementary, Union Middle School, and Alta High. Matt was a free spirit who loved the mountains and the ocean. He was a lifelong Oakland Raiders fan. He had a gentle soul who loved deeply and smiled easily. A well respected auto and bicycle mechanic who could often be seen riding his bike, hair blowing in the wind and a big smile on his face.
He is survived by his parents, sister Dee Bales (Kelly Belcher), best friend and wife Paulette, daughter, Amanda Bales Ealey (Todd), sons, Skylar Bales and Sam Bales and grandson Bryden Ealey.
He left this earth too early but will always live on in our hearts.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please give to a charity of your choice or spend some special time with someone you love.
