Last year a future they planned together started unexpectedly without her. She stayed behind to ensure all would continue their paths for her family until they could join them. The family seen her off on December 12th, 2018 as she climbed on a unicorn flew into the waiting arms of her one and only true love of 59 years Gerald H. Schmidt and they are Forever!
A bright and beautiful soul was bestowed upon Raymond Shunk and Josephine Gunnuscio on April 4th, 19?? (You never ask a woman how old they are!) Always true to herself and remained young at heart and never aged. She was the light in so many lives. A mother to not only her own two children Karol Schmidt and Geraldine Loya but buy three generations of family. Growing up on a farm in Centerville Utah being 1 of 12 children, she helped raise her younger siblings.
She was a wiggle worm and you couldn’t keep her still for anything. After she had her children and then became ill. Overcoming her illness she went to work. Invested fifteen years in banking and went on to do another 13 in security at Walmart. Yes, that little petit of a woman would stop and even run after the bad guys. She loved it!
What she truly loved to do and her life’s work that she was passionate about was her six silly little goose heads (grandkids); Sabrina (Feliciano), Jontue (Richard), Anjela, Melissa, Bobbie, Robert (Elena) and Savannah, sixteen great-grandkids and two great-great grandkids. She was there when they got sick in the middle of the night, would read and sing them to sleep at night, take them on trips to Yellowstone or just camping, every birthday got homemade tortillas for tocos and PJ’s on Christmas Eve.
This will continue to be given to all the grandkids. The love and memories will forever stay in their hearts. It won’t be an easy path ahead but they will walk it and make it back to those waiting for them.
“Everything that’s good about me, who I am and where I go is because of you, my true mom and dad. I love you with every beat of my heart and will miss you with every breath I take you’ll always be my little boy and old man!”
MaryAnn is also survived by her brothers and sister. Gary, Bobby, Jr, Ronnie, and Leanne.
She is preceded in death by her parents, dear husband Jerry and her daughter Geraldine and by five brothers and one sister.
The Family would like to thank Bristol Hospice for all the love and care they gave to MaryAnn and the family.
