Mary Seegmiller

Mary Elizabeth Mester Seegmiller passed away February 19, 2014 in Holladay, Utah. She was born May 1, 1941 to George Richard Mester, Sr. and Gladys Mobley in Holbrook, Arizona. She married Ben Lorin Seegmiller on June 27, 1959. Later divorced.
Mary had an inquisitive mind, a kind personality and was always ready for an adventure. She loved camping, fishing and the out of doors. She especially loved to immense herself in family history. She had a burning testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and loved to attend the temple.
She graduated from Wasatch Academy High School and The University of Utah with a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Nursing. She worked for many years as a registered nurse. Mary grew up in Holbrook, Arizona where she developed a loved for the Indian Culture, especially the Navajo people. She loved to read, listen to classical music and support the performing arts.
She is survived by her brother Robert Mester (Eleanor), daughter Tina Seastrand (David), 9 grandchildren, Rachel Hunt (Charlie), Joshua (Kirsten), Jeremy, Rebekah (serving an LDS mission in Madrid, Spain), Zachary(serving an LDS mission in Managua Nicaragua), Nathan, Hannah, Jacob and Matthew. 3 great-grandchildren, Lily, Ethan and Adaline. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard, sister Alice and son Timothy Russell.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Feb 27, 2014 at 11:00 am, at the Cottonwood 16th Ward, 1750 East Spring Lane. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Feb 26 at the Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Drive from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment at Holladay Memorial Park.
