Mary Murillo Quintana

August 2, 1947 — July 27, 2020

Mary Murillo Quintana passed away July 27, 2020 from her injuries after a plane crashed into her home.  Mary was born August 2, 1947 in Price UT to Jose Murillo and Rachel Ochoa Murillo. She is preceded in death by her Parents and many Cousins, Aunts, and Uncles.  She is survived by her Son Chris Quintana, Brother Joe (Rosey) Murillo, Granddaughters Dominique (Mario) Nava and Raquel (Brandon) Carrillo, Great-Grandsons Marcus and Leonel Nava, and many Cousins, Nephews, Niece, and Friends.
Mary graduated from East Carbon High School.  She got married and had her only Son, then later divorced. Mary moved to West Jordan UT where she began her career with National Semiconductor (now Fairchild) and retired after 30+ years.  She also lived in her home for more than 30 years and was a great friend to her neighbors.  Some say she was like a second mother to their kids and grandkids.
Mary enjoyed her morning pot of coffee, cleaning on top of cleaning, and dancing.  She enjoyed celebrating and decorating for the holidays.  Mary was a classy lady with her high heels, earrings and mauve lipstick.  When she wasn’t dressed to the nines, you could find her in either her garden or your garden. Can’t forget the Mexican music playing in the background. Mary was full of life, fun to be with, and made friends everywhere she went.  Mary was also easy to feed, she only needed her chips & red wine.
Our beautiful Mary was a loving and kind Daughter, Sister, Cousin, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Friend, Co-Worker, and Neighbor.  We’re all going to miss her strong will, her laugh, and spending time with her.  It just won’t be the same without her.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary located at 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah. There will be a Graveside Service immediately following at the same location.
