Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Friend, Mary M Lopez passed away September 6, 2018 at her home in West Jordan, Utah. She was born December 11, 1937 in Pueblo, Colorado to Perry Espinosa and Martha Martinez. She married the love of her life Agustin Lopez-Marrero in Elko, Nevada.
Mary’s most precious thing in life was her children and grandchildren, family were most important to her. She loved family gatherings, hunting, camping, bingo, Wendover trips and her chickens. She was known by most of the grandchildren as “grandma chickens”. Her proudest moment was making sure all her children graduated from High School.
She worked for Judge Memorial High School for 11 years, transferred to Juan Diego High School as head of the custodial department, where she retired from and made many close friends.
She is survived by her children: Cosme (Terrie) Padilla, Tony (Jody) Lopez, Cicilia (Tony) Tackett, Maria Lopez, Catalina (Biaggio) Petro, Agustin Lopez (Patty Pacheco), Carmen Lopez DeCisto, Hector Lopez, Agustin Lopez and Miguel Lopez, also a nephew she raised as her own Roy (Charlene) Espinoza, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, 2 brothers Joe Espinoza and Benny Espenoza, 1 sister Della Trujillo and daughter Iris (Edee) Martinez.
Funeral Services to take place September 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7405 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT. With an evening viewing 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Rosary 7:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday September 13, 2018 at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, Utah. Interment to follow funeral service at Memorial Redwood Mortuary.
