Mary Lou Webster

September 4, 1945 — April 4, 2025

Murray

Marie Louise Webster (Mary Lou) was born on September 4th, 1945, in Tacoma, Washington to Erwin Joseph Franz and Elsa Margeret Arneson. Mary Lou married Kent Myers Webster in Elko, Nevada on October 6, 1973. She died at 79 years of age on April 4th, 2025, in Murray, Utah—while surrounded with loved ones.

During her senior year of high school Mary Lou started at Zions Savings and Loan as part of their school work program. She moved up in the real estate finance field when Zions was taken over by State Savings—then moved to Associated Title in 1978—eventually becoming their Vice President. When the company became First American, she stayed on as a Senior Escrow Officer/Manager. Known affectionately by her co-workers as “The Queen,” Lou consistently managed multi-million-dollar projects and didn’t retire until 2016—when she was seventy-one years old.

Mary Lou loved her career. She approached her work with professionalism and integrity and set the bar high with her early morning work ethic and the desire to always finish projects on time and perfectly. Those perfectionist qualities came in handy raising three boys.

Some of Lou’s favorite people were the cats and dogs she loved and doted on. She was an avid shopper, loved to decorate her home for every holiday, and almost always wore black. Her favorite color outside of her clothing… was yellow.

She loved spending time with family. Mary Lou enjoyed watching the little ones, her eyes lighting up every time she got to see her babies.

Mary Lou is survived by three sons: Jeff and daughter-in-law Sue, Mitch and daughter-in-law Teresa, along with Gil and daughter-in-law Ginger. She had eleven grandchildren: (J) Jason, Josh, Kevin, Brandon, and Hali. (M) Brandon, Terra, and Danielle. (G) Amanda, Kenton, and Dalton. Twenty great-grandchildren: (J) Alyssia, JJ, Angel, Tyson, Georgia, and Levay. (M) Jordan, Broderick, Savannah, Annabelle, Ellie, Georgia, Eldon, Bailey, and Maven. (G) Alicyn, Robyn, Brolin, Ayden, and Ryder. She also had four great-great-grandchildren: (J) Dallas, Holland, Stefan, and Mateo.

She is also survived by her sister Susan with husband Randy, along with niece Paulette and nephew Michael.

Lou was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Pauline, and brother Joe.
