Mary Lopez

Mary passed away peacefully on July 11, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 15, 1925 to Jose Quintana and Lusita Vigil in Vadito, New Mexico. Married 66 years to the love of her life, Victor Lopez.
She is survived by her husband, her siblings, David Quintana (Flora), Sally Garduno (Pete), and Dora Martin (Jose); her daughters, Kayla Blatnick (Butch), and Virginia Lopez; her grandchildren Angie Gourley (Aaron), Cassie Yocum (Matt), Elissia Blake (James); her great grandchildren Ariel, Alora, Cameron, Isabell, Violet, and Joseph; and her great-great granddaughter Willow.
A rosary will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 07:00 p.m., doors will be open at 06:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church (4914 So. 2200 W., Taylorsville, UT).
Mary was full of life with an easy-going nature. Her passions included many things; cooking, crafting with leather stencils, painting pottery, and making grapes out of resin. She also enjoyed the outdoors; camping, boating, fishing, and hunting trips. She spent much of her time in the kitchen to make sure no one went hungry; her specialties were tortillas, green chili, and beans. She would often enjoy her Spanish music while dancing with her girls. Her loving spirit and bright smile will truly be missed.
