Mary Ellen Rodrigue

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our much-beloved Mary Ellen Rodrigue who was 81 years young, on May 30th, 2022. She passed away peacefully in her Vancouver, WA home with her husband William Michael Rodrigue holding her hand. Mary was born on July 13th, 1940 in Mapleton, Utah. She is survived by her husband William Michael Rodrigue, Sister-in-law Julia Lemaire, Brother Alan Fay Dibble, and his Wife Diane Dibble, Daughter and son-in-law Kristine and Edward Lee Solarez. Grandchildren Sabrina Marie Nelson and Husband Derrick W Nelson, Brandy Jolene Haight, Wesley William Haight. Also, by great-grandchildren Kimberly Jade, Hunter William, and Nia Alexandria. She is preceded in death by her beloved son William Gary Rodrigue, Brother Paul Dibble, and sister Marva Dibble.
Mary was a nurse at Cottonwood hospital in Murray Utah for 31 years as the lead operating room nurse. She attended Saint Benedict’s nursing school in Ogden Utah. We are very proud of the fact that she was so passionate about helping others.
Mary and Mike had a passion and love for many things including but not limited to ballroom dancing, (in which they were members of the J.C’s), Quilting (Two 1st place and one 2nd place for their puff quilts at the Utah state fair). And RVing down in Yuma, AZ. They would visit Los Algodones, Mexico where she was known to enjoy a good margarita in the company of family and friends like the Florin family. Mary’s favorite animal was the elephant, whenever you would visit her house, you could look around and find an elephant statue somewhere in each room, As well as her collection of glass perfume bottles. Mary loved gardening and her garden was the envy of the neighborhood. Most of all Mary was the most passionate about her love for her family and friends. She will be very dearly missed.Service Information
