Mary Clarissa Edwards Bye

Mary Bye 1924 ~ 2021. Mary Clarissa Edwards Bye, age 96, died on April 14, 2021, in Sandy, Utah. She was born June 4, 1924, in Charleston, Utah to Bernell Joseph Edwards and Hannah Belva Wadley. She married Raymond Bye in Wasco, California in 1944, then later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Mary loved her family, and was a lifelong dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in many teaching and leadership positions. Her favorite was as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple. She was a beautiful, gracious woman who set a radiant example of love of family and enjoyment of close friends. Mary was dedicated to her husband, Raymond for over 65 years, and nurtured and taught her children to the very end. She loved family occasions, golfing, and trips with her husband and good friends.
She is survived by her children Monte, Joseph (Linda), Christine (Terry), Ginny (Jim), and many grand and great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, parents, one sister, and a daughter, Marianne George.
A Viewing will be held Monday, April 19, 2021, 10 a.m.-11:15 a.m. at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah. Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Lake Hills Mortuary Chapel. Interment, (approximately 2:00 pm) Charleston City Cemetery, Utah.
