Mary Violet Capson

Our loving, kind, non judgmental Mom passed away surrounded by her family on August 2, 2013. She was born February 23, 1918 in Salt Lake City to Wilford Edgar Johnson and Pauline Pfitzer. She married Frank Capson January 5, 1939 and together they raised five children.
Mom enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, fishing, and word search puzzles. She also was a wonderful cook. She never missed sending cards for birthdays or other special occasions to her family and friends. Mom worked at various jobs throughout her life but was mainly a homemaker. She worked in the LDS Church Extraction program for 6 ½ years. She also held many positions in the Primary and Relief Society.
Mom is survived by: her three sons, Richard (Ramona) Wilkinson, David (Rosalie) Capson, Carl (Alice) Capson; two daughters, Pauline (Tim) Wilkins, Pamela (Nic) Lucero and special niece Christy (Bill) Martin. She is also survived by: 23 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; 4 brothers, 1 sister and 1 grandson.
