Mary Bell Norton Lewis Hancock

Mary Bell Norton Lewis Hancock passed away October 24, 2018 in her home in Kearns. She was born August 24, 1929 in Bloomfield, NM to Joel Wesley Norton and Harriet Marinda Black. She graduated from Monticello High School in Utah in 1947. She married William H. Lewis in 1948 and divorced after 28 years. She married Earl K. Hancock in September 1972. He died August 1989.
She was a member of the LDS church and her positions were in the Primary as teacher and secretary. She worked at Valley West Hospital (now Pioneer Valley) and did volunteer work at Magna Bishops Storehouse for 15 years. She loved her family very much and did all she could to help them. She was kind to everyone.
She is survived by her sons Loren and Tim Lewis; daughters Diane Long and Naydeen Lamoreaux, all of Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren; and lots of stepchildren and step grandchildren. She is preceeded in death by her husband; parents; 5 brothers, 4 sisters; and sons William N., Les E., and Calvin L.; grand daughter Mary; and 1 great grandson.
Mary’s children would like to thank Mandie Rich and family for the tender care they have given their mother.
A viewing will be held Monday, October 29, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, 84123. Another viewing will take place Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 1:00 PM with funeral services starting at 2:00 PM at 5720 South 4270 West, Kearns, UT, 84118.
