Mary Ann Sharp Zismer, age 76, died on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at her home in Sandy, Utah from health complications. She was born on May 29, 1941 in Union, Utah to Earl L Sharp and Larue Christensen. She married Duane Whittle, later divorced, Ralph Kennington, later divorced, Jim Nielsen, later divorced, and Daymon W Zismer on May 28, 1982.
We couldn’t ask for a better wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt.
Mom loved family BBQ’S, camping, any celebration that brought family together. She enjoyed scrapbooking. She has many albums with all of our family events. She collected Elvis memorabilia. She loved Nascar, especially Dale Earnhardt, Utah Jazz, Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys. She provided in home child care for many years. Many of the children she cared for, brought their children back to Mary for child care. Mom had a spunky do it all attitude. She was feisty and would take on any debate, right or not.
She is survived by her husband Daymon W Zismer, her children Duane (Jackie) Kennington, Debra (Michael) Robinson, Kevin Kennington, Shelly Nielsen (Bruce Fawson), Kim (Bruce) Goff, Marcie Nielsen (Jeff Edler), step daughter Laela (Kirk) Wilmot, 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, sister Shirley (Steven) Bouwhuis, and brother Calvin (Jolene) Sharp. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Earl L and Larue Sharp, brothers Gene Sharp, Gary Sharp, Keith Sharp, Dennis Sharp, sister Carolyn Latu, and son Brent R Kennington.
