Mary Alice Hatch Brooks, age 87, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2022 in Lehi, Utah.
 
Mary was born on March 6, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alfred Burt Hatch and Laura Leona Lane Hatch. She married her sweetheart, Allen Brooks, on September 9, 1989, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
 
Mary graduated from West High School. She also worked as a legal assistant. Mary was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many callings including stake and ward Primary President and Relief Society President. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers in the Alva Keller Camp, and served as President of the camp for a few years. Mary enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, walking, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.
 
Mary is survived by her children Mike (Kris) Brown, Suzanne Matern, Rosemary (Charlie) Hughes, Bonnie Cooper, Steve (Sue) Brooks, DeAnn (Paul) Ashton, Kim (Judy) Brooks, Chris, (Dodi) Brooks, 32 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Cathy Hatch.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband Allen Brooks, daughter Julianne Brown, son-in-law’s Greg Hansen, Howard Cooper, Dave Matern, grandson Tracy Brooks, parents and siblings.
 
The family wishes to thank all who helped care for Mary.
 
The viewing will take place on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 11 AM – 11:45 AM at Memorial Murray Mortuary 5850 South 900 East Murray, Utah. Graveside services and interment will take place afterward at the Bountiful City Cemetery 2224 South 200 West Bountiful, Utah.
