Marvin Dalley

Marvin Henry Dalley, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away December 16th 2015 after nearly a decade long battle with cancer and related health challenges.
Marvin was born May 5th, 1936 in Driggs, Idaho to Charles Claudius and Martha Elen Wallace Dalley. After graduating from Teton High School, Marvin attended Brigham Young University. His attendance there was interrupted by an LDS mission to Germany and active duty with the National Guard during the Berlin Crisis. On October 12, 1961 he married Kaylene Anderson in the Logan LDS temple while on active duty. He considered his marriage to his sweetheart of 53 years the most important event of his life. Marvin was a very devoted and loving father. He never missed an opportunity to support his children. Marvin later received his Bachelors in Political Science from Brigham Young University. Marvin spent most of his career devoting his time to personnel management for the Salt Lake City Regional Office of the National Guard Bureau. After retirement, he spent his time supporting and caring for his precious grandkids.
Marvin is survived by his brothers, Alvin and Francis Dalley, sons Charles (Julie) of Mayville, IL; Jeffery of Syracuse, UT; Daughter, Christine (Edwin) Tandiman of West Jordan, UT; 9 Grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kaylene Anderson Dalley; parents Claude and Elen; Brothers Wallace, Darrel and Edward; and sister, Nellene Algood
A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015 form 6 to 7 PM at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing/memorial service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Westland 2nd Ward at 10 am, 7171 South 2700 West, West Jordan, UT. Interment to follow at Afton City Cemetery.
