Marva G. Macey died on February 24, 2025. She was born on March 22, 1949 in Salt Lake City to Phyllis Ashton and Dan Gardiner. She graduated from Highland High School in 1967 and from Utah State University in 1971 on an art scholarship. She married Michael R. Macey. They later divorced.
Marva was an award-winning watercolorist. She had a green thumb, loved growing flowers and loved the family cabin on the Buffalo River. She made friends wherever she lived or worked.
Marva is survived by her children, Marshall (Brandy), Morgan (Robyn), Matthew (Kate), Marnie-grandkids Daxton (Megan), Hailey (Cody), Abi, Kayden, Ashton, Makiah, Maddie, Maleah, Rayne, Delilah, Silas and Ezekiel; great-grandson, Dean; Sisters Danelle Adams, Carolee (Joel) Scoville, Elizabeth (John) Goodell.
She was preceded in death by her brother Ted Gardiner.

Thank you to her CNS team, Andrea, Roger and Christina for your years of daily care and concern for Marva. Thank you to all the kind staff and care teams at Highland Cove and Spring Gardens. She leaves behind many dear friends at both.
A visitation will be held, Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Memorial Holladay~Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, Holladay, Utah from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. A graveside service will follow on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah at 11:00 am.
