Martin Dale Roach

Martin Dale Roach, 65, passed away on April 2, 2017 at Jordan Valley Hospital (West Jordan) Martin was born on November 30, 1951 in Cleburne, TX. He was married to the love of his life, Gail Theresa Roach.
Martin was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He proudly served Utah Transit Authority since 1986 and retired in Feb of 2016.  He was best known as the singing bus driver on KSL in the 1990’s.  One of Martin’s proudest achievements is his thirty plus years with UTA and his two million plus miles safety award as a professional driver.  Before his career as a professional driver. Martin served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was honorably discharged after ten years of service.  He was an Assistant Scout Master at St Anne Parish from 1988 to 2005 for his son’s scout troop.  During his time as Scout Leader he earned District Award of Merit.  If anyone of you were ever touched by Martins good nature just simply do this and be kind to someone you don’t know.
He is survived Gail T. Roach (wife), Shawn R.J. Roach (son) Pamela G. Roach/Curtis Kohl (Daughter/son-in-law) Janis/Randy Culbertson (sister/bother-in-law), Virgil Roach Jr. (brother), Alysha T. Roach, Robert Chase Olsen, John Kohl, Kayla Kohl (grandchildren) several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by Virgil Lee Roach/Anita Boyd (father/mother), Byron Roach (brother), Foxy, Sammy, Smokey family pets.
Memorial services will be held at Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery 6500 south Redwood Road West Jordan, Ut 84123 on April 7, 2017 at 2pm.
