Martha Glissmeyer

February 25, 1938 — April 29, 2022

Martha Glissmeyer, age 84, passed away on April 29th 2022 in Salt Lake City. She was born on February 25th 1938, in Pagosa Springs, Colorado to Juan Archuleta and Maria Archuleta.
She was with her partner Gregorio Rubio for 20 years.
Martha was a strong, independent, loving woman of God. Martha was famous for her homemade tamales. She enjoyed cooking as well as other hobbies, these included; singing, dancing, camping, spending time with family and, most importantly, spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Martha was unique, she left an imprint on everyone who came into her life. When you were with her, there was never a dull moment. She loved to joke, enjoyed life, she had a certain energy. In her younger years, you know, Marty loved to party.
She was not a quitter. She fought till the end. Best Mother/Grandmother anyone could have. She prayed for each and everyone of them every morning. We have been truly blessed to have her in our lives.
She is survived by her partner of 20 years Gregorio Rubio. Daughters, Marisa (Frank) Empfield, Michelle (Jesus) Palmer and son Carey (Maggie) Palmer. She has 20 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. Her two sisters Betty (Johny) Encinas and Mary Gallegos, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 9 siblings and children Deanne Martinez, Jimmy Dominquez, and Jeff Palmer.
