Martha Alice Hess Kinsman

November 11, 1934 — August 25, 2017

Our beloved Mother was reunited with the Love of her life August 25, 2017. Born November 11,
1934 in Bicknell, Utah. The family moved to the Salt Lake area where she graduated from
Granite High School and later from LDS Business College.
She married Eugene Lamar Kinsman on January 19, 1956 and they were later Sealed in the
Salt Lake Temple. Together they wanted a large family. They were blessed with 10 living
children and 1 still born. Mom juggled motherhood as both a stay at home mom and a career
woman at times. She taught us all many valuable and wise lessons.
Mom had many hobbies in all her spare time…..she loved to sew, crochet, read romance
novels, drive semi-trucks cross country with dad. Mostly enjoying the scenery. Bowling in her
later years with her sisters and a few daughters. As a former soft ball player in her youth she
loved to watch baseball on t.v. She enjoyed watching her new favorite team the Washington
Nationals even up to her final days.
Mom was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many
callings in addition to primary teacher and ward temple prep teacher. She loved reading her
scriptures. She also served as a Temple worker at the Jordan River Temple for 7 years.
