Marshall (Dusty) G Duffield, age 90, passed away on February 10, 2025, in Midvale, Utah. He was born on August 22, 1934, in Yakima, Washington, to Raymond R. Duffield and Harriet Weber. Dusty married Sharon Nisonger on September 3, 1960.
Dusty was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Great Salt Lake Bowling Association Hall of Fame on November 3, 2018, for superior performance. One of his proudest achievements. He also partnered with Louis and Nick Boyer at the Italian Village Restaurant in 1968. He ran that location until he retired. Dusty's years at Italian Village were full of many great experiences and friendships. He would always greet customers as they came in. There were also many great employees over the years that made Italian village what it is today.
Dusty had a black belt in Tai Quan Do. He was always up for trying new sports or activities.
Dusty is survived by his daughter Shay (Bart), son Scott, two grandkids, Carlee (Kyle) and Danielle (Breck), 3 great-grandkids, and his sister Shirley Kocherhuns.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon, mother and father, brothers Wilford and Graham.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, visitation from 11:00 am to 11:45 am. The funeral service will follow at noon. Friends and family can gather at the Italian Village from 1:30-3:30 p.m. to share friendship stories and celebrate his legacy.
The interment will be at Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery.
Special thanks to the staff and residents at Spring Gardens Midvale for their care and friendship this past year. Also the doctors, RN's, and therapists at acute rehab at St. Marks Hospital. Also a special thank you to Dr. Scott Hacking.
