Marnie Llewellyn

February 20, 1966 — August 13, 2018

Marnie Carolyn Llewellyn, 52, passed away on August 13, 2018, in Holladay, Utah. She was born on February 20, 1966, in Murray, Utah to Carolyn Ruth Erickson Needham and Brent C. Clayton. She married Douglas G. Llewellyn on Aug 21, 1986.
Marnie was the kind of person who would drop everything in an instant to help family or friends in need… unless the thing being dropped was a pot of her killer Chili Verde. “You can wait 3 damn seconds, I’ve been cookin’ all day, geez”! She had an incredible knack for anything home-made. Food, jewelry, clothing, quilts. If you can name it, she could make it, refinish it, paint it or fix it. She made Martha Stewart envious.
Marnie was an Avid Gardner who could grow, as well as name, every plant known to man. If you were looking for her, you’d only need look in the kitchen or garden. There you’d find her sweatin’ with a smile. Those were her happy places. She was a huge horror movie fan and loved off-beat books or quirky films. She was a homemaker, mother, cook and companion. She made the most beautiful jewelry and sold and gave away many pieces. She was a wonderful seamstress and made a lot of her own and her boys clothing. She read all the time and encouraged others to do the same. Above all, Marnie loved her family and friends and would defend them like a raging mama pit-bull if anyone tried to hurt them. She loved dogs and always had at least two to four dogs slobbering and begging for food and luvs in the house…. To which the latter was her favorite, the slobbering not so much.
She is survived by her husband Douglas, sons Spencer Douglas Llewellyn and Jacob Walker Llewellyn; mother Carolyn Needham, father Denzel Needham, sister Christen Needham, brother Shawn, Niece Megan Parker, nephew Denzel Parker and granddaughter Aspen Bell. She is preceded in death by Vard Rowan Erickson and Murrelyn Ruth Erickson.
