Marnell Bradshaw

July 1, 1924 — September 19, 2013

Our sweet mother danced her last dance with loving family surrounding about her. Marnell J. Bradshaw was born July 1, 1924 in Emery, Utah to Crystal Adelia Broderick and Alma Moroni Jorgensen. She was the youngest of a family of four (all whom are deceased). She was the last! She lived in Kearns, Utah and St. George, Utah and up until her passing she was in Legacy House in South Jordan, Utah. Everywhere she lived, she made that place better with her love, grace and zest for life. She often said, that she never met a stranger. She married Richard Albert Seare on November 14, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. Later divorced and married Elton B. Bradshaw who became her travel companion and together, they saw the world. Marnell was gifted in the arts and painted many oil paintings that still adorn the walls of her family homes. Not only painting but ceramics yielded to her passion to create masterpieces with her hands. Music and dancing were a joy throughout her life. She worked as a food demonstrator in many of the food stores in the Salt Lake valley. Her loveable personality making her approachable for anything. She worked as a meat wrapper for 22 years full time. Of special note, she worked as a hotel elevator operator in the Hotel Utah as her very first job in life.She served in many callings her life such as Stake Young Women’s President and Ward Primary President. Also assisted with writing and producing road shows and 3 act plays.She leaves behind her children, Richard A. “Peggy” Seare, Claudia “Dennis” Hiatt, Irene Tautaeoli, Joan “Rick” Thonton and Susan “Kevin” Stevens. Along with 19 grand-children and 13 great grand-children. She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, sisters and her granddaughter, Jackqulyn Hathaway.Her friendship, wisdom and unconditional love will be greatly missed. The family expresses deep gratitude for the loving and kind care given to our sweet mother at Legacy House Assisted Living and Brighton Hospice for their countless hours of devotion.
Services will be held at the Memorial Estates on 6500 South Redwood Road, Thursday, September 26th, 2013 at 11:00am with a viewing held on hour prior. A viewing will be held Wednesday, September 25th from 6:00 – 8:00pm.
