Mark Hanford Riddle, age 56, passed away at Jordan Valley Hospital in West Valley city, surrounded by his children and wife on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. He was born on November 29, 1962, in Richfield, Utah to Milton Hanford and Margaret (Morrey) Gadd. Mark was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant who served his country for 21 years as a medic, and then went on to serve his fellow veterans for over a decade at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City until his retirement in 2017.
He was proud of his service to his country, but even more proud of his wonderful children and grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Glenna; his children Veronica Riddle Waldram (her husband Joe Waldram), Justin Fullmer, Jessica Riddle, his three grandsons; Brandon Waldram, Xander Hall, and JJ Waldram, his mother and stepfather, Margaret and Douglas Gadd, his sister Melanie, and his brothers Milton and Mike.
Mark was a kind, funny and generous man. Even when he became so sick that he couldn’t work, he still found ways to help the people that he loved. He was everybody’s friend and a true gentleman to the end. The world is a little poorer today because of his absence.
Friends and family may gather on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at 10AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, 84123. A memorial service in his honor will then take place at 11AM at the same location.Service Information
