Mark Gibson

Mark Randal Gibson died on November 3, 2017 in West Valley City at the age of 68. He was born on August 16, 1949 in Provo, Utah and married Kathyrn A. Morris Gibson on March 31, 1969 in Sunnyside Washington.
Mark served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967-1969 in Vietnam, during which he was wounded and received a purple heart. He enjoyed bowling in the ABT League, fishing, and was an avid L.A. Rams fan.
He is survived by Kathy, his loving wife of 48 years; daughter, Shelley Morris Williams (Timothy B.); and sons, Chris (Meleha) and Sean Gibson. He has eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Louise Gibson; and his son Timothy A. Gibson.
The family would like to extend thanks and appreciation to the nurses and CNA’s at Rocky Mountain Care, Hunter Hollow facility for their kindness and care.
In lieu of flowers the family would like a donation to be made in Mark’s name to the National League of POW/MIA Families.
No services of interment are planned.
